Leadership development reimagined:

Human touch at scale

Learn Interactive works with organizations experiencing rapid change. Our mission is to transform the quality of leadership and teamwork in two groups critical to the future of any organization:

  • Rising managers: individuals moving into their first people management role

  • Emerging leaders: managing the transition from management to leadership

We’ve been working with these groups in some of the most innovative and successful companies for decades. We have a deep understanding of the challenges they face.

We know how to help them succeed.

We achieve results through an unparalleled and highly effective combination of cutting-edge technology with the timeless value of the human touch. The key benefits of our approach:

  • Your context comes first: Our content team can unlock the (often hidden) knowledge unique to your organization that can be—and needs to be—shared for transformational learning to happen

  • Learner delight: Short, highly watchable media ("microlearning") keeps content constantly fresh, relevant and enjoyable—and tailored to your learners' specific challenges

  • User-friendly technology: We deploy the right solutions to meet each client's unique requirements and amplify the reach and impact of investment in learning technology

  • Deep content expertise: Our SMEs and facilitators, led by CLO Craig Laviano, are world-class experts and thought-leaders in the art and science of workplace leadership and teamwork

  • Online mastery: There's nothing "second best" about our live (synchronous) online sessions—after decades of experience we've truly mastered the art of the digital classroom

  • The human touch: Our learners are human beings with unique needs and emotions; in designing high-tech solutions we never forget the infinite value of the human touch

The "Vital Middle" drives success

Multiethnic startup business team on mee

The key to the success of any but the smallest business is not exclusively in the hands of the C-Suite and senior leadership. It's determined by the vital middle—the newly promoted and mid-tenure managers in the early stages of their journey as people leaders.

This—the vital middle—is where your organization's strategy and culture is turned into reality. For this reason the quality of leadership and teamwork at these levels is mission critical. As it improves, your organization will see measurable improvements in engagement, retention and productivity.

Our unique approach to remote learning delivers high quality, effective programs at large scale and low cost-per-person.

Rising Managers

Who? Rising managers are preparing for, or newly promoted into, their first people manager role.

When? Programs are best delivered in a two-year window—from six months before promotion to a eighteen months following promotion.

Why? This is a fertile moment for development: individuals are very open to guidance and support; each individual's contribution can be accelerated.

The challenge: With this population the primary challenge is scale. There are a large number of individuals who need development!

Emerging Leaders

Who? Individuals who are transitioning from management to taking on a business leadership role; typically from Senior Manager to Director level.

When? Programs are best delivered in a two-year window—from six months before promotion to a eighteen months following promotion.

Why? Two key skills that need to be developed at this level  are delegation and performance feedback; quality of leadership at this level is closely tied to successful execution of enterprise strategy.

The challenge: It is vitally important for this population to create and extend peer-to-peer partnerships inside and outside the organization.

The human touch—at scale

The video below is a typical example of a rapid response "microlearning" asset—a short clip addressed to a specific group of learners. This is how we achieve both intimacy (the "human touch"—in that we address challenges specific to the group) and scale (because the video asset can be widely circulated).

In this particular example the audience is all people managers at a Bay Area biotech. Craig Laviano (Chief Learning Officer, Learn Interactive) partnered with the client team to launch an enterprise-wide process to ensure that every employee experienced the value of an IDP (Individual Development Plan). This initiative was part of a broader effort to increase employee engagement.

Videos of this type were circulated immediately following a series of scheduled live (in-person) sessions to drive understanding and application.
